Davido responds to rumours of no-show after receiving $94,600 payment

Nigerian singer Davido has addressed rumours that he was paid $94,600 to perform at an event but did not show up. The rumours were started by former NFF president Amaju Pinnick, who claimed that Davido was “playing games” and that they had to find a replacement artist, Shallipopi.

I am a man of my word, and I would never take money from someone without fulfilling my obligations. I am asking Amaju Pinnick to retract his statement and apologize to me.”

Pinnick has not yet responded to Davido’s denial.
